Windex – Oscars “Loser’s Basket” Response Campaign

Client & Context: Windex; reacted to the product’s exclusion from the Oscars “Winner’s Basket,” after being exclusively in the “Loser’s Basket,”which got morning media talking about Windex, but not in the best way.
Role: Creative Director and Copywriter.
Approach & Key Contributions: Leaned into the moment and quickly crafted a witty full-page ad in Variety to publicly acknowledge and poke fun at the ourselves in the situation., We followed up by shipping the product in personalized packages for each of the Oscar winners.
Results & Impact: Delivered an agile, humorous campaign that turned a PR misstep into a cultural moment, reinforcing brand personality.
